Molly
Registered AQHA mare with points earned in Reining, Roping and Working Cow Horse. A beautiful bay she's flashy in the ring or in the front pasture.
Scout
He is a registered AQHA horse. He broke a bone in his ankle in training a few years ago but was too great of a horse to just put down. We nursed him in the stall for a full year - and now he's sound. He won't show again but still is a part of the family!
Jacob, Ben and Ellie
An oldie but a goodie. They have now grown up from this picture but I just can't take it down :-)
Nimue (Feburary 5, 2005 - October 30, 2012)
Oak Knoll Farm Nimue was our own grand dame. She is out of Little Big Man Babe (sire) and Galloping Goat Bambi. She was our first goat and is the mother/grandmother of most of our does. She was like a pet dog - she loved to rub her head all over you if you stand still. She was naturally polled with amber eyes and though she wasn't flashy she had all kinds of colored babies! She passed away during her last kid birth and will be SO missed on our farm...
Tudi (February 2009 - May 25, 2013)
Great Oaks Two Dots Shine (Tudi) - named for the markings on her front legs. She was born February 2009 out of Nimue and Savannah's Oaks Peterson 535 and is a full sister to Reo. We lost Tudi during a difficult delivery. She was one of our first babies born on our farm.
Milk Dud (July 2008 - August 10, 2014)
Due was our pet Holstein steer for 6 years. Our kids saw him born in the back pasture and we havd to have him. He was a figrue in our neighborhood and lots of people liked ot visit with him. not many cows that will trot up the driveway with you - he was one of a kind. Sadly we had to put Dud down to to foot injuries in August 2014. The farm is just not the same without him....
Herd Sire - Roux Ladoux at Great Oaks (February 2020 - Feburary 2023)
Roux was our first buck - he came as a tiny little thing that no one thought would "work". He ended up as a beautiful long haired red goat with curly horns. He was friendly until the day he died and was great herd sire that threw beautiful kids that were big time fainters like he was!
Retired Doe - Great Oaks Haphreao Clousseau (February 2009 - June 2023)
Reo was the first baby born at our farm (with her twin Tudi) born February 2009 out of Nimue and Savannah Oaks Peterson 535. She's a pretty dark brown, black and white with amber eyes.
